Why “Very Much” Is Often Used Wrong

Many people say very much happy or very much tired.

It sounds natural, but it is not correct English.

Very much is usually used with verbs.

It is not used directly before adjectives.

We say:

✅ I like it very much.

❌ I am very much happy.

For adjectives, we simply use very.

👉 Very for adjectives. Very much for actions.
